Usage
- Grab
IDM Trial Reset.exefrom the downloads page and start it. Windows will ask for administrator rights because IDM stores trial data underProgram Filesand the registry. Accept the prompt. - Close Internet Download Manager completely, including the tray icon.
- Press Reset the IDM trial now and wait for the confirmation.
- Start IDM again and open Help → About. The trial should show a fresh 30 days. If SmartScreen complains, choose More info → Run anyway. Open source tools are usually unsigned.
IDM updates can restore the original trial state, so after an update just run IDM Trial Reset once more. The changelog tracks what each release handles.
